Who We Are
A Dental Practice That Looks Beyond Teeth
Beacon Street since 1992
Smile Brookline opened in June 1992 and has been at 1425 Beacon Street ever since, where Dr. Sara Stock, DDS built a state-of-the-art facility in 1998. What began as a conventional general practice has become something less common: a dental office organised around the airway.
That shift happened because the pattern kept appearing. Children labelled inattentive who turned out not to be sleeping. Adults treated for grinding whose real problem was a collapsing airway. Crowded teeth in patients whose jaws had never developed to full width because they breathed through their mouths as children. Treating those as separate problems produced separate, partial answers.
Today the practice combines everyday dental care with three areas most general offices do not cover: airway and sleep dentistry using the Vivos system for adults and children, periodontal surgery led by a board-certified periodontist, and non-surgical TMJ treatment. Implant surgery and restoration both happen here rather than being split between offices.

In practice that means quieter nights for someone who has not slept properly in years, a child who can concentrate at school because they are finally breathing through their nose, and patients out of chronic jaw pain who can eat and enjoy food again. Some of it is cosmetic and some of it is not, but the measure is the same: does the patient feel better living their life?

University of Maryland School of Dentistry graduate practising since 1989. Certified Vivos provider for adults and children, Invisalign provider for over twenty years, and a Boston Magazine Top Dentist from 2022 through 2025.

Patients travel to us from across the metro area, particularly for airway and sleep care, where few practices in the region offer the same combination of Vivos therapy for adults and children alongside general and specialist dentistry in one building.
